Living In The Future
Is not living in the now.
The future is a vampire that pulls your energy from the present moment. It is like trying to catch the next train, when the current one has yet to arrive.
Don’t get me wrong, the future is useful – it is where plans live. But, it isn’t the place where life actually happens.
To often we miss what is in front of us – which was the future – only to plan more future stuff. To arrive and get on the next future train. Never stopping to take a break, not stopping to enjoy what is around us, not seeing, not being fully present – because we think the future holds some sort of key – enlightenment, happiness or something. If only.. When I.. Get to..
Life happens in this moment. This moment is all we have.
