The Visual Intervention (Received in 2009 – Near Autryville, North Carolina) in monochrome, presents the elegance of a flower’s bloom, its petals forming a natural star shape that draws the gaze into the darkness at its center. The gentle gradation of light across the petals emphasizes the star, nature’s geometry and the quiet symmetry that emerges with the new light of day. The intervention evokes the awakening of the senses as the world transitions from the subconscious dreams of night to the clarity of morning, the light.
