The Lightness of Being
The Ease of Existence
Symbolizing non-attachment in the everyday grace of the natural world.
The Visual Intervention (Received in 2010 – Near Raleigh, North Carolina) presents, a collection of grass blades in a moment of profound stillness, unaffected by the interplay of shadow and light that dances around them. They stand in a state of non-attachment, neither grasping for the sun’s last rays nor shunning the encroaching darkness. Each blade is present, yet detached, content in its momentary existence, embodying the essence of non-attachment—a core principle that teaches the freedom from clinging to either the joys or the struggles of life.
